New Britain Police Department Looking for Full-Time Officer

CHALFONT, PA — The New Britain Township Police Department is currently looking for applicants for their open position of full-time police officer.

Those interested in applying must have graduated and be certified by the Municipal Police Officer Education and Training Commission Certification by the due date of the application, which is Oct. 29 at 4:00 p.m.

They must also be at least 21 years old, in good physical and mental shape to perform the duties of the position, and must be a high school graduate, or have their G.E.D. A valid Pennsylvania drivers license will also be required to apply.

Entry level officers for 2022 will be started at $63,500 a year, with the potential for pay raises after 1-3 of service. Police pensions will be offered.

Only a select number of applicants will be asked to participate in the interview process.
