'No Kings' Protests Planned In Bucks And Hunterdon Counties This Weekend
Protests will be taking place throughout the Philadelphia region on Saturday, including three in Bucks County and one in Lambertville, N.J.
BUCKS COUNTY, PA — "No Kings" protests will be taking place in Bucks County and neighboring Hunterdon County, N.J., on Saturday to coincide with a military parade commemorating the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary that falls on President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday.
More than 190 organizations, including Indivisible, the American Civil Liberties Union, Human Rights Campaign, and Social Security Works are collaborating to organize the national mass mobilization of protestors who object to the "disruptive and damaging" policies of the Trump Administration.
Local rallies are planned on Saturday in Newtown-Langhorne, Quakertown, and Doylestown in Bucks County, and in the City of Lambertville, New Jersey, just across the river from New Hope in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

New Hope-Lambertville
- Indivisible Lambertville-New Hope will hold a rally starting at 9 a.m. at Ely Field on Main Street in Lambertville, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Participants will gather on a large field and hold cards that together create two field-sized images: one supporting democracy, and the other, reclaiming the American Flag. A drone will capture the event, and the images will be shared on social media as a kickoff to No Kings Day.
Newtown-Langhorne
- Beginning at noon, more than 1,000 have signed up to protest in front of U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick's office at the Summit Square Shopping Center at Route 413 and the Newtown Bypass. Speakers include Joe Khan, Democratic candidate for Bucks County District Attorney; Danny Ceisler, Democratic candidate for Bucks County Sheriff; Donna Petrecco, Democratic candidate for Bucks County Prothonotary; Judi Reiss, Democratic candidate for Lower Makefield supervisor; and Dwayne Heisler of the Pennsylvania Policy Center.
Quakertown Borough
- A protest is planned from 12 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Quakertown's Triangle Park. Upper Bucks United - Indivisible is staging the Quakertown protest, which will include Cosplay kings and a golden toilet to mark the community’s "dissent to increasing authoritarianism, corruption, state-sponsored abductions, attacks on our Constitutional rights to speech and assembly, and the erosion of American democracy."
Doylestown Borough
- In Doylestown Borough, a "rally against injustice" will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the corner of North Main Street and East Court Street (at the flagpole in front of the Bucks County Administration Building). The event will include speakers and protests.
