NOVA’s Upstander Day will take place on Sunday, September 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Dublin Fire Company, 194 N. Main Street, Dublin, PA 18917. This community event is free, will include family-friendly games, crafts, entertainment, food trucks and demonstrations by first responders.

Upstander Day will promote and celebrate our community’s Upstanders - individuals of all ages who, when they see bullying behavior, take steps to safely offer help. Being an Upstander is about kindness and inclusion.

“We are excited to be sharing the Upstander message with our Bucks County families at NOVA’s first Upstander Day,” said Mary Worthington, Director of Prevention & Training, NOVA. “Being an Upstander is about being kind and caring about others. Teaching our children to be Upstanders encourages them to be kind and support others in a positive way. It will be a fun-filled day as we celebrate the Upstander in all of us.”

The event will feature activities including a kindness scavenger hunt, kindness roulette, duck pond, inflatable moon bounce, inflatable obstacle course, an appearance from the NAMI Man (a superhero character whose power is mental health), face painting and crafts. In addition, there will be food trucks, the NOVA Thrift Shop Pop-Up Store, as well as performances by School of Rock Doylestown, demonstrations from East West Karate and a police K9 exhibition courtesy of the local police departments.
