​Officer Promoted, New Officer Joins The Force In New Britain Twp.

The personnel changes were announced at the board of supervisors' July meeting.

NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — New Britain Township welcomed a new officer to its police force and celebrated the promotion of another officer at its July meeting.

With the retirement of Sergeant C. Rich Michie, Police Chief Richard Clowser announced the promotion of Brian Jones to the rank of sergeant.

Jones, a 15-year veteran of the New Britain Township Police Department, steps into the role of police sergeant.

Also at the meeting, Thomas Ford was sworn in as an entry level police officer. Tom is a
native of Bucks County and comes to the township with two years of policing
experience from Richland Township.

Ford said he's looking forward to serving the New Britain Township community and its visitors.
