Parking Lot Dispute Escalates Into Assault At Warrington Grocery Store
The incident began when police said a 58-year-old Warrington man confronted a woman for parking in a no-loading zone.
WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A 58-year-old Warrington man is facing charges following a parking lot dispute that escalated to an assault at the Wegmans store on Easton Road.
Warrington Police responded to the store on Sept. 27 for a reported assault.
When police arrived at the store, they learned that a 58-year-old Warrington man had confronted a woman for parking in a no-loading zone and began yelling obscenities at her.

The woman told police that she tried to ignore the man, but the man became increasingly aggressive. Feeling threatened, she told police that she swung her purse and struck the man in the face.
The man then punched the woman in the face with a closed fist, knocking her into a display of flowers.

Officers said they observed visible injuries to the victim's face, including swelling, redness, and bruising.
The man has been charged with simple assault and harassment.
