Doylestown Plans Pedestrian Zone Event On E. State St.
A temporary pedestrian zone is planned in Doylestown on Aug. 14 and 15. The goal is to allow for expanded outdoor shopping and dining.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Doylestown Borough will once again set up a temporary pedestrian zone to allow for expanded outdoor dining and shopping.
On Aug. 14 and 15, E. State Street between Main Street and Pine Street will close to vehicular traffic from 5 to 11 p.m. Similar street-closing events were held in June and July.
"The street will be lined with tables and decorative plantings to create a welcoming atmosphere," according to information from Discover Doylestown. "Businesses will be invited to expand their operations into the sidewalks and parking lanes. The center of the road will be sectioned off for socially-distant pedestrian traffic."
