Woman Charged In Assault At Doylestown Bar: Crime Report

Police said the woman refused to leave the establishment and was physically fighting with employees and patrons.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — A 38-year-old Perkasie woman is facing assault charges following an incident on June 1 at Chambers Bistro and Bar on North Main Street.

Central Bucks Regional Police responded to the restaurant on June 1 for a disorderly patron, later identified by police as Rebecca Barraclough.

Police said Barraclough refused to leave the establishment and was physically fighting with employees and patrons. She also resisted police officers and grabbed an officer's throat, police said.

Police have charged Barraclough with aggravated assault, a second-degree felony; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and public drunkenness and disorderly fighting, both summary offenses.

Barraclough was arraigned and bail was set at $15,000 unsecured.

  • A 47-year-old Doylestown man was charged with simple assault and harassment following police response to a domestic dispute in progress on May 31 at Center Square Towers on N. Broad Street in Doylestown Borough. Police said the man struck the victim in the face after pushing the victim several times and placing his hand over the victim’s mouth. The man was arraigned and bail was set at 10 percent of $100,000 with conditions. He was remanded to Bucks County Prison.
