The alleged assault occurred at approximately 4:00 p.m. when witnesses reported that the man was stopped after entering the theater with a small dog in a messenger bag. The manager told the man about the theater’s policy on only allowing service dogs in, according to the report, and when the manager went to get a refund, the man allegedly hit a theater volunteer in the face, knocking him to the ground.
The man –described as 5’11” to 6’2” tall, in his mid-50’s, with gray hair pulled into a ponytail – fled the area toward the museum district, police said.

The victim was transported to Doylestown Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
