Police Make DUI Arrests, Investigate Car Theft In New Britain Twp.
Detectives, acting within the Internet Crimes Against Children task force, completed an investigation and arrested an offender.
NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — The New Britain Township Police Department reported the following incidents between Dec. 1 and 31:
December 3
- In the early morning hours officers responded to 100 block of Creek Road for a single-vehicle traffic accident. The driver of the sole vehicle was found to be impaired and they were taken into custody without issue.
December 12

- A concerned citizen called 911 emergency dispatch to report a possible drunk driver in the area of the 400 block of West Butler Avenue. On arrival an officer observed the described vehicle and stopped it for traffic infractions. The driver was found to be impaired and taken into custody.
December 17
- The patrol division responded to a home on Creek Road for the report of a vehicle theft. The offender was quickly identified as having taken the vehicle and a warrant was issued for their arrest. They remain outstanding.
December 21

- Police responded to the area of the 1900 block of Swamp Road for the report of a known wanted subject at that location. While there, police located the wanted subject and they were taken into custody without issue and transferred to the custody of the Bucks County Sheriff's Office.
December 30
- The detective division, acting within the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force, completed an investigation resulting in the arrest of an offender charged with related offenses.
During this tour the patrol unit handled 28 traffic accidents; 36 alarm calls; 53 medical emergencies; 20 abandoned 911 calls; and 481 crime and traffic accident prevention directed patrols. In total, there were 890 calls for service.
