PLUMSTEAD, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department responded to the following incidents between Dec. 4 and Dec. 12. Read their report.
Saturday, Dec. 4
12:01 p.m. — Officers investigated a call about an "unwanted person" at a business on Stump Road. Officers spoke with all parties involved and mediated the situation. The person left the business, and no further action was needed.

Monday, Dec. 6
2:01 p.m. — Officers conducted a wellbeing check on Stump Road after a relative requested a wellness check on a 79-year-old woman who was not responding to calls. Officers found the woman in the home and determined that she had passed away from natural causes.

Tuesday, Dec. 7
8:26 a.m. — Officers investigated a suspicious car on Easton Road bypass that was traveling in and out of lanes of traffic. The driver was able to respond to the officers' questions. The woman said she had a medical condition and was informed by the officer that a medical re-test was submitted for her license to ensure safe driving. An Uber was arranged to drive her home.
4:33 p.m. — Officers responded to a business on Sawmill Road for a report of an armed person in the parking lot. Upon arrival contact was made with one of the parties who said he was involved in a road rage incident which culminated into a face-to-face confrontation. On Friday, a 53-year-old man was arrested in connection with this for simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, and was processed and arraigned.
Wednesday, Dec. 8
2:42 p.m. — Officers investigated a complaint of property damage on a car in a business parking lot on Old Easton Road. A woman came to police headquarters to report a dispute between herself and a man which resulted in damage to her car. Officers were able to mediate the situation and no further action was taken.
Thursday, Dec. 9
1:45 p.m. — Officers investigated a call for an "unwanted person" at a business on Swamp Road. They were able to speak with all parties involved and mediate the situation. The person left the business, and no further action was needed.
2:56 pm — Officers investigated an animal complaint on Old Easton Road for a report of ponies in the roadway. Officers remained on scene until the owner of the animals arrived and retrieved the ponies.
Friday, Dec. 10
12:11 p.m. — Officers were dispatched to the Colonial Village on Easton Road for an active fire. They remained on scene while fire department personnel extinguished the fire from inside the apartment.
2:08 pm — Someone contacted police to report a case of unemployment fraud. The resident received a letter in regard to compensation that was never requested or received. A report was filed, and police advised the complainant to contact the unemployment office.
5:10 p.m. — Officers were dispatched to the Giant on Swamp Road for a report of a retail theft. A man entered the store and began loading items into a backpack. The man saw staff and attempted to unload items before he ran out of the store. While exiting the store, a second man was waiting where they abandoned a shopping cart with $676.18 worth of products. Surveillance photos were obtained, and the incident is under investigation.
7:40 pm — Officers investigated a noise complaint on Valley Park Road. They remained on scene for several minutes and were unable to hear any noise. No further action was taken.
9:52 p.m. — Officers investigated a dispute between a father and son on Rebecca Fell Drive. The father expressed he was assaulted by his son earlier in the day. The son acknowledged becoming physical towards his father. Officers remained on scene while the son gathered belongings and left the home with his mother. Point Pleasant Ems arrived on scene for evaluation of injuries, and a Victim’s Right packet was provided. Charges are pending a further investigation.
Saturday, Dec. 11
2:08 p.m. — Officers investigated a verbal dispute between two women on Point Pleasant Pike. The police were able to mediate the situation and no further action was taken.
9:02 p.m. — Officers responded to the Giant on Swamp Road for a retail theft that occurred earlier in the day. They met with loss prevention and reviewed surveillance video of an adult man and woman that stole multiple cans of baby formula valued at $209.88. The incident is under investigation.
Sunday, Dec. 12
8:07 a.m. — Officers investigated a call for an overdose on Old Oak Road. Upon arrival, a woman was located on the second floor laying in her bed. Central Bucks EMS transported the adult female to a local hospital. The S.T.A.R program was explained and offered.
