DOYLESTOWN, PA — Summer is just around the corner, and you may be planning now to find activities to keep the kids busy — and cool. An obvious summer favorite pastime is spending those hot afternoons at the local pool.

The state recently issued guidance for pools to follow, so they can safely operate during the coronavirus pandemic.

So where near Doylestown can you take a dip? We've compiled this guide of local pools to help you and your family stay cool this summer:

  • The Fanny Chapman Memorial Pool, located at 10 McKinstry Drive in Doylestown, will open for the season on Saturday, May 29. Due to the restrictions placed on pool occupancy by gathering and social distancing guidelines, access to the pool at this time will be by membership only. Membership is also required to participate in the Swim Lesson Program and on Competitive Teams. More info.

  • The Tohickon Valley Pool, located at 127 Cafferty Rd, Point Pleasant, will open for the 2021 season weekends only beginning on May 29, and 7 days a week starting June 21. More info.
  • The Oxford Valley Pool, located at 445 Hood Blvd, Fairless Hills, will open for the 2021 season weekends only beginning on May 29 and 7 days a week starting June 21. More info.
