Possible Bear Cub Sighting Reported In Doylestown Township

Township staff are aware of the possible sighting and the Pennsylvania Game Commission has been notified, police said.

DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A bear cub has reportedly been seen near the bridge at Doylestown Township's Central Park, the Doylestown Township Police said Monday afternoon.

Township staff are aware of the possible sighting and the Pennsylvania Game Commission has been notified, police said.

"If you observe a bear or have information to report, please contact the PA Game Commission at 1-833-742-4868," police said.

  • If a bear sees you, back away slowly. Never run; running may trigger a chase response.

  • Always stay with your group. If it keeps approaching, use bear spray.
