Refused Cigarette, Plumstead Man Punched Employee In Face: Police
The man was jailed awaiting a hearing after the assault at Durham House, a local mental health service.
PIPERSVILLE, PA — A local man was charged Friday for aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment after an altercation earlier in the week, police announced.
Officers from the Plumstead Township Police Department were dispatched to 6061 Durham Road Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. for a reported assault. Upon arrival, a Durham House employee told officers that a 51-year-old resident had punched them in the face after he was not given a cigarette.
The man was arrested and charged Friday, with his bail set at 10 percent of $75,000.

He was taken to Bucks County Correctional Facility, where he awaits a preliminary hearing scheduled for Jan. 3.
