Republican Marcell To Fill Last Vacant Council Rock Board Seat
The Wrightstown resident has previously held a school director role in the district, and will represent Region 9.

WRIGHTSTOWN, PA — Council Rock graduate Kristin Schrader Marcell was sworn in Thursday as a Region 9 school director for the Council Rock School District, representing Wrightstown Township and Newtown Township Districts 1 and 2.
Marcell, a Republican, was previously appointed to the board in August of 2018, following the resignation of Kyle McKessy. She won both of the general elections in 2019 and 2021.
“Serving in this role during these difficult times has presented many challenges, but I couldn’t be prouder to continue representing the Wrightstown and Newtown communities on the board,” Marcell said. “Thank you to all of Region 9’s voters. I look forward to working together with our community to help ensure a strong and bright future for Council Rock’s students.”
