One Person Flown To Trauma Center After Warrington Crash

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A 20-year-old bicyclist was flown to a trauma center after he was hit by a car at the intersection of Route 202 and Bristol Road on Friday afternoon, according to the Warrington Township Police Department.

The 55-year-old driver from Lansdale remained at the accident scene and fully cooperated with investigators, Warrington Police Sgt. Kenneth Hawthorn said.

A preliminary investigation shows that shortly after 12 p.m., the bicyclist was riding east on Bristol Road when he entered the intersection and was truck by a sedan traveling north on the Rt. 202 Parkway.

The condition of the bicyclist is not known at this time.

Warrington police were assisted by Doylestown Township Police, Central Bucks Regional Police, New Britain Township Police, Montgomery Township Police, Montgomery Township Fire and Police, and the Bucks County District Attorney's Crash Team.

Route 202 Parkway at Bristol Road will be closed till further notice due to an accident.
