Safety Task Force Takes 6 Trucks Off The Road In New Britain Twp.
Police report that 57 violations were found during the safety detail on Business Route 202, Upper State Road, and State Route 2038.

NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Six commercial vehicles were taken off the roads for mechanical defects and securement violations during a Motor Carrier Safety Enforcement detail on Wednesday along the U.S. 202 business corridor, State Route 2038 and Upper State Road.
New Britain Township hosted the safety detail, which yielded the following results:
- 19 Commercial Motor Vehicles were inspected with the following results: six with no violations, 13 with violations, and 57 total violations, which included 15 out-of-service violations.
- 6 Commercial Vehicles were placed out-of-service for mechanical defects and securement violations, including a 160,000-pound oversized load CMV
- 4 CMV drivers placed out-of-service for driving without a valid license and/or a suspended license
- 2 CMVs were weighed and both were overweight
- 1 CMV was measured and had a dimension violation
- 16 traffic citations issued
- 41 traffic warnings issued
