Standoff Situation In Chalfont Borough Ends Without Incident

The suspect was taken into custody with no injuries and was taken to Doylestown Hospital for a mental health evaluation, police said.

The situation in Chalfont Borough has been resolved. The suspect was taken into custody with no injuries and was taken to Doylestown Hospital for a mental health evaluation. The shelter in place has been lifted and roads reopened.


CHALFONT, PA — Central Bucks Regional Police are blocking off several streets in Chalfont Borough on Thursday after an armed, unknown person barricaded themselves inside a home on Valley View Road.

Residents located in the area of Valley View Road between Pleasant Avenue and Marian Road are being advised to shelter in place due to ongoing police activity.

Drivers should avoid the area as these streets are temporarily closed, police said.

The order was issued at around noon Thursday and remains in effect as of 3:30 p.m.

Central Bucks Regional Police and the Central Bucks Special Response Team are at the scene.
