State Street Closing Overnights for Utility Improvements

DOYLESTOWN, PA — PECO Energy is planning to close State Street between Main Street and Pine Street in Doylestown Township for a gas main replacement, PennDOT announced Wednesday.

The overnight closure will occur Sundays through Fridays, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., beginning Sunday, Nov. 8 through Thursday, Dec. 17.

During the overnight closure, State Street motorists will be directed to use Pine Street, Court Street and Main Street.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.
