Strawberry Strut Adds To The Fun At Peddler's Village Strawberry Fest

The two-day event will kick off the festival season with fresh-baked strawberry pies, treats and the first-ever Strawberry Strut.

LAHASKA, PA — Peddler’s Village will celebrate its 44th annual Strawberry Festival on May 3 and 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with strawberry-themed fun both days and the debut of the Strawberry Strut on Sunday.

In addition to strawberry-themed food and beverages, including fresh-baked strawberry pies and desserts, live music and entertainment, food trucks, and activities, the Great Strawberry Strut takes place on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Guests who come dressed in strawberry-themed outfits or costumes can check in at the kiosk on the Village Green for a chance to win prizes. All guests who participate are also entered into a giveaway to win a $100 Peddler’s Village gift card.

Another highlight of the weekend is a pie-eating contest for adults and children to be held on both Saturday and Sunday beginning at 2:30 p.m. (registration begins at 11 a.m.). Peddler's Village shops will be open until 8 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free.

The Strawberry Festival also includes games, a bounce house, axe throwing, kids crafts and face painting, and pie-eating contests for adults and children.

Strawberry chocolate chip cannolis, strawberry shortcake donuts, and strawberry scones, and fresh strawberries can be purchased at the outdoor stands, including the Water Wheel Food Tent.

Live music will include performances by local musicians and performers, with special entertainment by Martin & Kelly on Sunday, May 4.

Outdoor food, drinks, strawberry-themed baked goods, including strawberry chocolate chip cannolis, strawberry shortcake donuts, and strawberry scones, and fresh strawberries can be purchased at the outdoor stands, including the Water Wheel Food Tent as well as food trucks, or guests can dine indoors at Village restaurants and eateries for strawberry-themed menu specials. House-baked strawberry streusel pie pre-orders can be placed online and will also be available for purchase during the festival weekend (while supplies last).

Following the Strawberry Festival weekend, Peddler’s Village restaurants will continue to feature strawberry-themed food and beverages every day in May.

Other springtime events include the second annual Best of the Nest: Birdhouse Competition & Display, which takes place April 28 through June 8, a Mother’s Day buffet on May 11, a murder mystery dinner, a comedy night, and Food Truck Thursday.

This summer, Peddler’s Village will also be presenting a Safari in Sand display featuring ten remarkable sand sculptures depicting safari scenes which will begin on June 1. Guests are invited to watch world-renowned sand sculptors create the sand sculptures beginning in mid-May.

In June, Peddler’s Village, in partnership with the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, will be hosting Bucks Fever, a celebration of the region’s artistic, cultural, and historical heritage. Artists, musicians, and entertainers can apply through PeddlersVillage.com to perform in Bucks Fever.
