Suspect Arrested In Warrington Retail Theft Operation Tied To 5 Others
Police said last fall the Philadelphia man entered a grocery store with five others and stole more than $1,000 worth of merchandise.
WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A suspect in a retail theft operation in Warrington is facing charges for an incident that happened last fall at the Wegmans.
On Oct. 28, police responded to Wegmans for the report of a retail theft. Loss prevention related that six suspects had entered the store at 10:28 p.m. The suspects filled seven shopping carts with merchandise and left the store without paying. The amount stolen was more than $1,000.
An investigation identified one of the suspects as a 20-year-old man from Philadelphia. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On January 15, the man was stopped for a traffic violation in Whitemarsh Township where he was placed under arrest. Warrington Police responded to Whitemarsh and took him into custody.
The man was transported to the station where he was processed and arraigned by Judge Wertman who set bail at $50,000. unsecured.
