Teen Pulls Knife, Man In Bunny Suit Faces DUI Charge: Central Bucks Regional Crime News
In other reports, police cited a Doylestown man for slashing tires and charged a student in a hallway altercation at CB West.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reported numerous arrests and incidents during October. Some of the notable incidents included a 15-year-old boy who pulled a knife during an argument outside a Doylestown coffee shop, a teen driver who struck a pedestrian and fled the scene, and a motorcyclist wearing a bunny outfit who was charged with DUI and other offenses.

- FRAUD, FRAUDULENT USE, IMPROPER DISPLAY, N. Broad Street, Doylestown Borough - A 47-year-old man from Northampton Township was charged following a traffic stop on Sept. 28 for fraudulent license plates on display.

- DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED, ACCIDENT INVOLVING DAMAGE, TRAFFIC VIOLATION, E. Swamp Road, Doylestown Borough – A 34-year-old man from Levittown was charged after fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run accident. With the assistance of witnesses identifying the registration plate of the vehicle, the man was charged.

- TERRORISTIC THREATS, POSSESSION OF WEAPON, HARASSMENT, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – A 15-year-old boy from Doylestown was charged after police were dispatch for the report of an armed subject in the Starbucks parking lot. The boy allegedly pulled a knife during a verbal altercation with other juveniles. A juvenile allegation was filed.

- ACCIDENTS INVOLVING PERSONAL INJURY, SIMPLE ASSAULT, RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT, FAIL STOP RENDER AID, FAIL TO YIELD TO PEDESTRIAN, 311 W. State Street, Doylestown Borough - A 16-year-old boy from Jamison was charged after fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run on Sept. 25. The boy struck a pedestrian with his vehicle, causing the victim to fall and strike their head. A juvenile complaint was filed.

- DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE, South Pine Street, Doylestown Borough – A 50-year-old man from Warwick was charged following a hit and run with a parked vehicle. The driver presented with heavily slurred speech, bloodshot glassy eyes and slowed speech/motor movements. Field sobriety tests were conducted followed by legal blood draw at Doylestown Hospital.
October 11 to 18
- DISORDERLY CONDUCT, Doylestown Borough – The following individuals were cited for public urination during separate incidents: A 22-year-old man from New Britain Township; a 36-year-old man from Chester Heights; a 21-year-old man from Doylestown; a 23-year-old man from Glenside; a 23-year-old man from Warrington; and a 25-year-old man from Quakertown. Citations have been filed.

- DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE, E. State Street, Doylestown Borough – A 24-year-old man from Chambersburg was charged following police response to a traffic accident. The driver showed signs of impairment and admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages before driving. Field sobriety tests were conducted and legal blood draw obtained at Doylestown Hospital.
- PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – A 30-year-old man from Mountain Top was cited following a well-being check initiated when the man called 911 stating he was trapped and being followed. When police arrived, the man ran and fell from a retaining wall. The man presented with a strong odor of alcoholic beverage and slurred speech. A Citation has been filed.

- CRIMINAL MISCHIEF (3 COUNTS), E. Butler Avenue, New Britain Borough – A 42-year-old man from Doylestown was charged after slashing tires on three vehicles in August. Citations were filed.

- THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING, RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY, 700 E. Butler Avenue (Delaware Valley University), New Britain Borough - A 21-year-old man from Covington, GA, was charged following the theft of a cell phone from a classmate at Delaware Valley University on September 23. The phone was tracked to Philadelphia and then Atlanta, Georgia, where the man was found to be in possession of the phone.

- ORDINANCE VIOLATION, S. Clinton Street & Hart Avenue, Doylestown Borough – A 31-year-old man from Philadelphia was charged following a traffic stop for failing to come to a complete stop at a posted stop sign. The driver presented with an odor of marijuana and had a mason jar containing marijuana. Citations were filed.

- RETAIL THEFT, 200 Town Center (Giant), New Britain Borough – A 31-year-old man from Doylestown was charged following an investigation of thefts in August and September at the Giant Food store. Stolen merchandise totaled $68.
- SIMPLE ASSAULT, 375 W. Court Street (CB West HS), Doylestown Borough – A 16-year-old boy from Doylestown was charged following a physical altercation in the hallway between students. The boy initiated a verbal altercation, followed by striking the victim several times with a closed fist. A juvenile allegation was filed.

- RETAIL THEFT, RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY, 425 S. Main Street (Wawa), Doylestown Borough - A 39-year-old woman from Doylestown was charged following police response to a theft at Wawa. The woman was found in possession of stolen items and in a parked car when police arrived.
October 31
- DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE & OTHER CHARGES, S. Main and W. State Streets, Doylestown Borough – A 27-year-old man from Buckingham, dressed as a bunny and driving a motorcycle, was charged following a traffic stop for running a red light. The man was presented with bloodshot eyes and admitted to having consumed an alcoholic beverage before driving. A portable breathalyzer returned positive for alcohol consumption. Field sobriety tests were unable to be completed. The man had a suspended driver’s license for DUI and active arrest warrants. He was remanded to Bucks County Prison on a detainer from the Philadelphia Police Department.
- SIMPLE ASSAULT, HARASSMENT, E. Butler Avenue, New Britain Borough - A 55-year-old man from New Britain Borough was charged following police response to a domestic incident resulting in injuries to the hand and lip of a victim. The man was arraigned and released on $50,000 unsecured bail with conditions.
