U.S. Navy Helicopter Scheduled To Land At Central Bucks South
The landing is part of a school event celebrating the 250th anniversary of the nation's U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — As part of the 250th birthday celebration of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, a U.S. Navy helicopter is scheduled to land on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at Central Bucks South High School in Warrington.
As part of a weeklong series of events across the Philadelphia region honoring the Navy and Marine Corps' semiquincentennial, members of the Navy and Marine Corps are scheduled to visit CB South today. The day is set to begin with a helicopter landing demonstration on school grounds for all students, to be followed in the afternoon with a performance in the gym by the Navy and Marine Corps ceremonial bands for seniors and members of South’s marching band.
"Every aspect of the day’s events has been carefully coordinated over several months in partnership with Navy representatives, local law enforcement, emergency management officials, and district personnel to ensure a safe, secure, and well-organized experience," according to a notice of the event sent out to the community.

The event is closed to the public and limited to CB South students and staff only. Warrington Township plans to share a community notice about the helicopter landing on its social media accounts Tuesday morning to alert residents of the event.
"In addition to providing a unique educational and community-building experience for students, the visit also aligns with CB South’s long-standing tradition of honoring those who serve, exemplified by our school’s Operation Eternal Gratitude club," said the district. "Students in the club have sent tens of thousands of care packages to deployed service members since the club began at CB South when the school opened in 2005. Club members also curate our Wall of Honor and help host an annual Veterans Day ceremony. Welcoming the Navy and Marine Corps to campus extends this proud tradition."
