BUCKS COUNTY, PA. — Vote Mama, which bills itself as the nation’s first PAC focused solely on electing, supporting, and mentoring Democratic moms, has announced its endorsement of three candidates running for school board in Bucks County.

"With education at the forefront of many voters’ minds, these moms are stepping up to push back against far-right attacks on public schools, promote inclusive and equitable policies, and ensure that
families are represented in shaping their children’s education," said the PAC.

Among the endorsed candidates are Amanda O’Connor and Katrina Filiatrault in the Central Bucks School District, Erin Small and Kait Linton in the Hempfield School District, and Christine Stofko for the Nazareth Area School Board — all districts facing intense pressure from far-right groups
aiming to reshape school policies.

O'Connor is running for a seat on the Central Bucks School Board representing Region 2, which includes Buckingham Township Lower 1, Doylestown Borough 3-1 and 3-2, Doylestown Township 1-5, 7 and 8, New Britain Township East 1, New Britain Borough, and Warwick Township

The PAC has also announced its endorsement of Nicole Khan, who is running for Council Rock School Board in Region 9 (Wrightstown Township and Newtown Districts 1 and 2).

The PAC said Khan "stands out as the only Democratic incumbent seeking reelection in an area known for one of the largest Moms for Liberty presences in the country."

Moms for Liberty is a conservative nonprofit organization advocating for parental rights, pushing against inappropriate books containing sexually explicit pictures and language in school libraries, and objecting to critical race theory in school curricula.

"Nicole’s seat is critical for maintaining the school board’s narrow 5-4 Democratic majority, making this race a key battleground in the state," said the PAC.

“Democratic moms are stepping up to run because they’re fired up to fight back against the far-right’s attempt to undermine public education and sow division in our communities,” said Liuba Grechen Shirley, founder and CEO of Vote Mama PAC. “These moms are not only motivated to stop extremism in their children’s schools, but also to share their lived experiences navigating
the challenges so many Pennsylvania families face. We are thrilled to endorse them, and we look forward to cheering on their success on Election Day and once they’re in office.”

Vote Mama PAC has now endorsed eight candidates for school board in Pennsylvania for the 2025 election.
