Warrington Is Getting Its Own Farmers Market
There's a new farmers market in Bucks County.
WARRINGTON, PA — The idea came to her only four weeks ago, but Mariah Drenth-Cormick wasted no time in setting up the grand opening of the Warrington Farmers Market.
"I figured if I wanted it to work, I couldn't put it on anybody else's plate," said Drenth-Cormick, who works as a bus driver for the Central Bucks School District.
The Warrington Township resident who serves on the board of the Lions Pride Park says the weekly market at Lower Nike Park will serve as a fundraising event for the planned All Abilities Playground. The Campaign for Lions Pride Park is looking to raise $1.2 million to transform the site of the former Twin Oaks Day Camp into a public park accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
