Wires On Fire After Truck Pulls Down Power Line In Warrington

Warrington Township police said officers are handling "numerous" reports of power outages and wires on fire Tuesday afternoon.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Warrington Township police are urging drivers to use caution in the area of Pickertown and Lower State roads after a truck pulled down power lines.

The police department posted an alert around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday saying it was handling “numerous" reports of power outages and wires on fire in that area. Police are directing traffic at some intersections, with the power outages causing issues with multiple traffic signals in the area.

Warrington Township police said preliminary reports indicate a truck pulled down the wires. PECO has been notified of the issues, police said.
