Wires Severed, Retail Theft Under Investigation In Plumstead

Township officers also investigated a report of property damage and took an individual into custody on an outstanding arrest warrant.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents between Jan. 7 and Jan. 11:

January 7

  • At 12:21 p.m., officers responded to the area of River Road for a report of downed wires. Upon arrival, they discovered Verizon wires had been severed. A Verizon representative confirmed that the wires were copper and estimated the repair cost at approximately $500. The representative also noted that a similar incident occurred in the same area about a month ago. Officers cleared the scene without further incident.
  • At 3:14 p.m., 0fficers were dispatched to the Giant store on Swamp Road for a retail theft. Store employees reported that during the past week, an individual had taken items totaling more than $500 without payment. Employees identified the suspect using a store card. Police reviewed security footage, including parking lot surveillance. The case remains under investigation.
  • At 3:18 p.m., officers responded to the area of North Easton Road for the report of property damage. A resident said their mailbox had been damaged multiple times, with the most recent damage valued at $25.

  • At 1:18 p.m., officers responded to the area of Durham Road for a report of an unwanted person on a property. Before their arrival, they were informed that the individual had an active arrest warrant. Upon locating the suspect, officers informed the 25-year-old woman from Pipersville of the warrant and placed her under arrest without incident. She was transported to Bucks County Corrections.
