Woman Charged With Homicide In Bucks Co. Crash That Killed Her Husband
The single-vehicle crash happened last October on River Road in Tinicum Township.

TINICUM TOWNSHIP, PA — A 35-year-old woman from High Bridge, New Jersey, has been charged with homicide by vehicle - DUI - in a crash that killed her 34-year-old husband last October in Tinicum Township.
Danielle Strobridge voluntarily surrendered to authorities on June 26 and was charged with homicide by vehicle while under the influence, multiple counts of DUI, careless driving resulting in death and driving on roadways laned for traffic.
On Oct. 19 at 1:08 p.m., the Tinicum Township Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 800 block of River Road. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that had collided with a tree. The driver, identified as Strobridge, and the passenger, Michael Amend, were the sole occupants of the vehicle.

Amend, who was trapped in the front seat and had to be freed, was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead from blunt force trauma. Amend grew up in Bucks County, living in Bensalem and later, Warrington. He was a Central Bucks High School South graduate.
Strobridge sustained only minor injuries in the crash and was able to get out of the car.

Police said preliminary observations at the scene raised concerns of impaired driving, prompting a more indepth investigation.
The Bucks County Crash Investigation Unit responded to assist with a comprehensive investigation of the crash scene. As a result of the detailed investigation, a warrant was issued for Strobridge’s arrest on charges including Homicide by Vehicle – DUI.
On June 26, Strobridge was processed, arraigned, and released pending further court proceedings. Bail was set at $125,000.
