Woman Faces Felony Charges For Retail Theft: Warrington Crime Report
Police said the woman exited the Wegmans store after failing to pay for concealed and consumed items and was stopped outside.

WARRINGTON, PA — The Warrington Township Police Department reported the following arrests between April 13 and 24:
3rd Degree Felony Charges For Theft
- A Philadelphia woman is facing felony charges for the theft of merchandise from the Wegmans store in Warrington Township. On April 13, police arrested 31-year-old Sache McKnight for retail theft and for receiving stolen merchandise, both charged as third-degree felonies. Police said while shopping for an Instacart order with a small child, McKnight was observed by loss prevention concealing merchandise. McKnight and the child also consumed items while in the store, loss presentation told police. At checkout, police said she gave the child several packs of Tic Tacs, which were briefly in the child’s mouth before being returned to the shelf. Total loss to Wegmans for the consumed, concealed and damaged items was $105.50. Police said McKnight exited the store while failing to pay for the concealed and consumed items and was stopped outside. McKnight became disruptive and uncooperative while refusing to return to the store. McKnight was placed under arrest and was transported to the station where she was processed and released.

- A Philadelphia woman faces multiple felony charges following an incident at the Shops at Valley Square. On April 21, Warrington Township Police charged the 44-year-old woman with retail theft and receiving stolen property, both third-degree felonies, and scattering rubbish. When police approached the woman near Valley Square Boulevard and Main Street, she walked behind a bus shelter and discarded a bag. When confronted, the woman claimed she was being "set up" and expressed frustration, saying, "Every time I get out of jail, I get reincarcerated for socks." During questioning, police said she admitted she had no money and said the socks were stolen from TJ Maxx. The officer recovered the bag, which contained several packs of socks. The woman was taken to the police station, processed for the incident, and later released.
Philadelphia Man Charged In Retail Theft
- On April 21, police responded to a retail theft at Wegmans. Police learned that a 34-year-old man from Philadelphia had concealed $95.87 worth of merchandise in a bag under a shopping cart. He then exited the store without paying, police said. He fled in a vehicle after being confronted by the store's loss prevention officer. Police observed the vehicle a short time later traveling north on Easton Road and made the traffic stop. The man was placed under arrest and transported to the station where he was processed and released.
