Woman Resists Arrest, Attempts To Disarm Police: Central Bucks Regional Police Report
Police made numerous arrests in November for DUI and issued citations for harassment and underage drinking.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests during November.
November 1
- DISORDERLY CONDUCT, PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS, 15 S. Main Street (Finney’s), Doylestown Borough - A 22-year-old man from Doylestown was cited after he returned to the bar after being kicked out. The man presented with an unsteady gait and showed several signs of intoxication. The man was also uncooperative.
- UNDERAGE DRINKING VIOLATION, E. Ashland Street, Doylestown Borough - A 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, both from Furlong, were charged after police found them lying on the ground talking to each other. Both presented with glassy, bloodshot eyes and an odor of an alcoholic beverage.
- DISORDERLY CONDUCT, E. Court Street, Doylestown Borough - A 24-year-old woman from Doylestown was charged after officers found her on the ground getting sick. The woman presented with an odor of alcohol.
November 2

- DRUG VIOLATIONS, ACTIVE WARRANT CUSTODY, 504 Fonthill Drive (Fonthill Apartments), Doylestown Borough - A 39-year-old man from Philadelphia was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant following a tip regarding the man’s whereabouts. He was found in possession of heroin, charged, and released to the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department for detention on an active warrant.
November 5
- DISARMING LAW ENFORCEMENT, RESIST ARREST, EVADE ARREST, Doylestown Borough – A 28-year-old Doylestown woman was charged after she fled from officers assisting Bucks County Detectives with an active warrant. Police found the woman and took her into custody at which time she became combative and attempted to disarm officers. She was transported to New Hanover Township Police to answer an active warrant.
November 9

- SIMPLE ASSAULT, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, HARASSMENT, 6 West Street, Doylestown Borough - A 21-year-old man from Nottingham was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct following a physical altercation on the sidewalk. When police arrived, they observed a man striking another man in the face with a closed fist and then fleeing.
November 9 to 27
- DISORDERLY CONDUCT, Various location in Doylestown Borough - The following individuals were cited for urinating in public: A 30-year-old man from Quakertown, a 22-year old man from Chalfont, a 21-year-old man from North Wales, a 23-year-old man from Upper Southampton Township, a 21-year-old woman from Bridgeport, a 22-year-old man from Doylestown, a 23-year old man from Jenkintown, a 21-year-old woman from Hatboro, and a 22-year-old man from Willow Grove.
November 10
- ACCIDENT INVOLVING DAMAGE, DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED, NOT YIELDING TO RIGHT OF WAY, East Swamp Road, Doylestown Borough – A 34-year-old man from Levittown was charged following a hit-and-run accident on Nov. 9.
November 13
- HARASSMENT, Ferris Lane, New Britain Borough – A 30-year-old man from Upper Black Eddy was charged for continually harassing a victim despite several warnings.
- HARASSMENT, Maple Avenue, Doylestown Borough – A 60-year-old woman from Reading was charged after sending harassing text messages to the victim despite several warnings.
November 14
- RETAIL THEFT, 456 N. Main Street (Target), Doylestown Borough – A 50-year-old man from Plumsteadville was charged for previously stealing merchandise (November 6 and 8) in an amount exceeding $1,000. An arrest warrant was issued.
November 16
- DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE, S. Main Street, Doylestown Borough - A 24-year-old man from Levittown was charged with DUI after being pulled over for having no headlights or taillights illuminated during a period when required. The man admitted to consuming alcohol before driving and presented with a strong odor of alcohol and glassy, dilated pupils. Field sobriety tests were conducted, and a legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.
November 20
- DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE, SUSPENDED LICENSE, S. Main Street and W. Oakland Avenue, Doylestown Borough – A 38-year-old man from Chalfont was charged with DUI and driving on a suspended license after traveling the wrong way down a one-way street. The man presented with glassy bloodshot eyes, slow motor skills, and an odor of alcohol. Field sobriety tests could not be conducted safely and the driver refused a legal blood draw. The man had previous DUI convictions, a suspended license, and was on probation. He was taken to Bucks County Prison on a probation detainer.
November 22
- FRAUD ALTER & OTHER CHARGES, N. Main Street & Veterans Lane, Doylestown Borough - A 25-year-old man from Doylestown was charged following a traffic stop for having an illegal license plate and dark, tinted windows.
November 23
- DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE, W. State and N. West Streets, Doylestown Borough – A 26-year-old woman from Plumsteadville was charged following police response to a vehicle crash into a utility pole. The driver presented with an odor of alcoholic beverage, bloodshot eyes, unsteady gait and slurred speech. She refused field sobriety tests and a legal blood draw.
November 27
- DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE, Swamp Road and North Street, Doylestown Borough - A 26-year-old woman from Doylestown was charged following police response to a vehicle stopped in a lane of travel with no posted stop sign or red light. When police activated overhead lights, the vehicle drifted from far left to far right between lanes. The driver presented with an odor of alcohol, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were conducted and a legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.
November 28
- DRUG VIOLATIONS, 32 Broad Street (Bucks County Garage), Doylestown Borough - A 30-year-old man from Doylestown was charged after he was found slumped over in a parked vehicle. Drugs and paraphernalia were in plain sight.
