Woman Stole Multiple Sclerosis Donations In Doylestown: Police

A 59-year-old woman is facing charges in connection with the theft of a donation jar in Doylestown.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — A 59-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after Central Bucks Regional Police said she stole a donation jar containing money intended to support multiple sclerosis.

According to police, Kathleen Marie Stanley of Warrington stole the donations on Feb. 21 from the Dairy Queen in Doylestown.

Police said she purchased items at the restaurant and, on her way out, took a donation jar displayed with a poster to raise money for multiple sclerosis. She covered the donation jar with her jacket and left, police said.

Police did not say how much money was in the donation jar.

Stanley turned herself in Wednesday and was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

She was arraigned and unsecured bail was set at $5,000 with restrictions.
