BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A new food concept has arrived in Bucks County. It's called "Wonder," which opened its doors on Friday at Prickett Preserve (near the Wegmans supermarket) in Lower Makefield.

While "Wonder" celebrated its grand opening, two other Bucks County eateries will be closing or have already closed their doors.

Waters Edge Winery & Bistro in the heart of Doylestown closed its doors without notice last week. Meanwhile, the owners of TeaVa Rolls, a Vietnamese cafe, announced this week that they would also be closing their doors in Doylestown.

River House at Odette’s has been named a winner in the 2025 NorthStar Meetings Group Stella Awards presented by the meetings and events industry. The hotel, located on South Main Street, has garnered a prestigious Silver Award for Best Boutique property in the Northeast.

Winery & Bistro Closes Its Doors In Doylestown

Waters Edge Winery & Bistro in the heart of Doylestown Borough has closed its doors. The restaurant, which opened a year and a half ago inside the newly-renovated 50 North Main Street building at the intersection of Court Street, Shewell Avenue, and North Main, shut down its winery and restaurant operations last week without notice. It was the winery's only location in Pennsylvania. Bucks County residents Eric and Nicole Landolfi had high hopes for the unique Waters Edge Winery & Bistro concept, which they brought to Pennsylvania in March 2024.

New Plans Surface For Closed Bank Site In Newtown

The site of a closed TD Bank in Newtown Township, once considered for redevelopment into a Chick-Fil-A, is now being eyed for a self-storage facility. At its September meeting, the planning commission reviewed sketch plans for 98 Upper Silver Lake Road. The plans are calling for the demolition of the former bank at Newtown-Yardley Road and the Newtown Bypass and the construction of a three-story building with up to 800 storage units and an apartment for a caretaker/manager.

Vietnamese Cafe Closing Its Doors In Doylestown

TeaVa Rolls, which opened in March 2024 at 812 Easton Road with its fresh create-your-own summer rolls, announced on Wednesday that it will be closing its Doylestown store. “With full hearts, we want to share some big news. This chapter at our current location is coming to a close, but it’s not truly goodbye,” the owners posted on Facebook. “Serving you here has been such an honor, and your support, encouragement, and friendship have meant more than we can express.” The Vietnamese cafe opened in March 2024, offering a variety of fresh Vietnamese finger food, including its popular summer rolls.

The cafe is known for its summer rolls.
