YMCA Brings Over 250 Camp Staff T0 June 1 Training and Rally

YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties and Greater Valley Y camp staff came together for the all day staff training and rally in Quakertown

YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties and Greater Valley YMCA summer camp staff came together for an all-day staff leadership training and rally at the YMCA branch in Quakertown on Saturday, June 1.

Over 250 camp staff from both Ys gathered to review policy, procedures, practices and guidelines in preparation for working with thousands of children and families this summer. Camp leaders from both associations underwent new learning and refresher courses on camp curriculum and activities, health and safety guidelines in caring for children, safety around water and drowning prevention, team-building, rainy day programming, arts and crafts and leading camp singalongs.

“It was a great day of planning, learning and getting to know each other,” explained Danielle Cioffi, VP of operations for the Central Bucks Region of the Y. “Bringing everyone together from Bucks, Hunterdon, Northampton and Lehigh counties was inspiring for everyone, and allowed all of us to benefit from best practices throughout all our camps.”
