Youth-Led Pro-Palestine Fundraiser In Doylestown Canceled

Organizers are citing safety concerns for the decision not to go ahead with the event, which was scheduled for this weekend.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A youth-planned Palestine fundraiser in Doylestown scheduled for this weekend has been canceled due to safety concerns.

"Unfortunately, due to serious concerns about organizer and fundraiser-attendee safety, we are canceling the Palestine Fundraiser," said organizers. "This decision took great consideration; it was difficult to cancel something we care so deeply about."

The event had been scheduled for Sunday in the courtyard at the Bucks County Administration Building at 55 East Court Street, Doylestown.

"We are heartbroken that this event, which was organized to maximize funds to Palestine and support our local community impacted by the genocide, could not happen," the organizers said. "Still, we are steadfast in continuing to collect funds for the Palestine Red Crescent Society and for the purchase of E-Sims for people in Palestine. We encourage people to continue to Venmo @justice4palestine to amplify our positive overseas impact."

For those who have already donated and who were looking forward to attending the event, "We want you to know that your mental and physical contributions have, in no way, gone to waste. Our plans have changed, but that does not mean we are giving up. To keep up with our fundraising efforts, please follow @justice4palestine.dtown on Instagram."
