3-Wheel SUV Shot Sparks on Route 22, Police Say

An Allentown man was cited by police after he allegedly drove an SUV with a missing wheel along Route 22 earlier this month.

According to police, Omar Quinonez will be cited for driving while under the influence, reckless driving, and driving without a license following an incident that took place early on Feb. 17.

Police say officers responded to a report of an SUV driver missing a wheel on Route 22 eastbound, with the vehicle shooting sparks and debris along the road.

Police spotted Quinonez's 2002 Ford Explorer along Route 22 near Third Street, swerving along the road.

Quinonez, 35, of the 1300 block of W. Gordon Street, was taken into custody by Phillipsburg police.
