Acclaimed Pianist Coming to Lafayette
Gabriela Frank will spend one-year residency at Lafayette, work with school choirs.

Acclaimed pianist and composer Gabriela Lena Frank will perform next month at Lafayette College, part of a year-long residency at the school.
Frank's time at the college will involve "workshops across the campus engaging students of multiple disciplines in discussions about creative process, entrepreneurship, and fusing her Latin American heritage into her classical musical art," the school said in a news release.
She will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 at the Williams Center for the Performing Arts. Frank's time at the college will result in a new, original composition for the school's choirs, vocal soloists Andrew Garland and Susanna Eyton-Jones, and the Chiara String Quartet, to be performed at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 13. Tickets will be free and available at the box office.
Tickets for the September 11 show are $15 and can be purchased by calling the box office at 610- 330-5009 between noon to 2 p.m. and 4 to 5 p.m. on week days, plus one hour before the performance.
