The ranking highlights walkability, trails, cultural spots like the Karl Stirner Arts Trail and Crayola Experience, and local senior programs such as Silver Connections. City leaders say they’re focused on keeping Easton safe, vibrant, and affordable for retirees and families alike.
   

• Struggling to heat your home? Northampton Co. program offers up to $800 for seniors in need. (lehighvalleylive.com) — Easton-area seniors who are struggling to pay for heat can now get up to $800 in one-time emergency fuel assistance through Northampton County’s Area Agency on Aging, with Project of Easton handling administrative support. Eligible residents 60 and older, excluding those in Bethlehem, must meet HUD income limits, have low fuel levels or a shut-off notice, and have exhausted LIHEAP before applying by phone for a home visit.
