Celebrate Easton's Lebanese Heritage This Weekend

Here's what's happening this weekend in Easton.

Easton's 36th annual Lebanese Heritage festival is so big it needs two days to contain it.

The festival kicks off Saturday at 5 p.m. (and runs until midnight) at Our Lady of Lebanon church at Fourth and Ferry streets, featuring Lebanese food and pastries, dancing, kids activities and the music of Eddie Ossama.

It continues Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with music from Amin Sultan.

Also this weekend:

  • Joyous performs Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Riverside Park, as part of the Live at Riverside concert series.
  • The iMiJ Shop presents the opening of ruffcutt, its next show, Saturday at 5 p.m., featuring furniture pieces by Scott Voelker, Pete Carrasquillo, Mike Cabreza, Emily Gartner, and Tom D'Angelo, as well as cyanotypes by Jamie Cabreza, and sculpture by Sandra Zajacek Levisay.
  • Violinist and teacher Helen Martin hosts a workshop on how to play the violin Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Nurture Nature Center.
  • The Gallery at St. John's holds its summer art sale Sunday starting at 11 am. until 1 p.m.
  • We don't normally promote events outside of Easton, but there's a few pretty major ones this weekend, including Bethlehem's Musikfest and Martin on Main in Nazareth.
