Easton Aquatic Club Celebrates the 4th by Helping Others

Swim team dives into giving back

EASTON, PA- Easton Aquatic Club (EAC) added a little something extra to their July 4th practice, a food drive.

Yesterday , July 4th, EAC took in almost 200lbs of food donated by swim team families. The collection is the first of what head coach Carlton Taylor hopes will be an annual tradition. “July 4th practices are always a lot of fun but this year we were looking to give it a little more purpose, something beyond just swimming that would benefit our community. A food drive just made sense.”

The “EAC 1st Annual AmeriCan Food Drive” gathered roughly 192 lbs of canned food, pasta, rice and beans which were donated to ProJeCt Easton Food Pantry Tuesday morning. Coach Carlton,”It went well, we have a goal now, next year we'll do much more.”
