A charge that a 63-year-old Easton man hit his girlfriend in the face with a beer can Thursdaynight has landed him in Northampton County Prison.
Robert Lee Starling of 115 Northampton St., Apt. 8, admitted to hitting his girlfriend, who suffered a laceration to the left eye, court records say.
Police talked to the girlfriend after the alleged incident, which occurred shortly before midnight. The records do not say what triggered the incident.
Starling was charged with simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned at 1:55am Friday by on-duty District Judge Jackie Taschner of Palmer Township and committed to county prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
