Easton Salvation Army Gets New Pastor
Lt. Dabiel Valdes and his fellow lieutenant wife look forward to working in Easton.

The leadership of Easton's Salvation Army is now a family affair.
Lt. Dabiel Valdes is the new officer, or pastor, of the Salvation Army, based at 1110 Northampton St.
Joining in him in his duties: his wife Cristina, who is also a Salvation Army lieutenant and a former early childhood teacher from the Philadelphia area, according to a news release.
“I’m so excited, and I’m looking forward to moving to Easton and meeting the members of the church and the members of the Community," Dabiel Valdes said in the release.
Valdes was born in Puerto Rico and was raised in North Philadelphia. He worked as a social worker, and recently finished with the seminary, where he obtained the “Commissioner’s Award," the highest recognition new officers can achieve.
