Easton Swears in New Firefighter [Video]

Jorge Rivera becomes the Easton Fire Department's newest member.

Easton's fire department is one member stronger today.

Jorge Rivera joined the department Wednesday night, getting sworn in before family members, Easton City Council and several fellow firefighters.

Mayor Sal Panto administered the oath, and noted Rivera's name.

"Is it any coinidence the new pope is named Jorge?"

No black or white smoke and secret conclaves here, though. It took less than 30 seconds to swear in Rivera.
