Explosion, Fire Rips Through South Side Homes

Multiple fire departments respond as flames cut through double home on W. Wilkes Barre Street in Easton.

Firefigthers from multiple departments responded when a fire ripped through a double home on Easton's South Side Friday night, according to published reports.

No one was injured in the fire at 1072 and 1074 W. Wilkes Barre St., according to The Express-Times.

Witnesses reported hearing an explosion before the flames, which were reported just before 8 p.m.

Members of the Easton, PA Facebook group said the blaze was visible from West Easton.
