Fugitive Had Stun Gun, 56 Bags of Heroin, Police Say
Jonathan Standiford faces drug charges for allegedly selling heroin in Easton.

Easton police say a man wanted for walking away from a New Jersey halfway house was caught in the city Thursday with a stun gun and 56 packs of heroin.
Jonathan Standiford, 30, is charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of electronic or electric incapacitation device,
escape, and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
According to police, New Jersey authorities had a warrant for Standiford after he left his halfway house, where had been staying as a sentence for drug and resisting arrest charges.

Easton detectives got word that Standiford would be in the city and spotted him in the 700 block of Wood Avenue. When the detectives told Standiford he was under arrest, he ran into the woods nearby.
Police caught up with him at S. 12th and Pine streets and arrested him.

In addition to the heroin and the stun gun, police say Standiford was also carrying a package of marijuana and $816.
Standiford was arraigned before on-duty District Judge Nancy Matos-Gonzalez of Bethlehem, who sent him to prison in lieu of $250,000 for each case.
