Heroin, Cash, Gun Seized in West Ward Drug Raid

Easton police say Bryan Velasquez was the target of a months long drug investigation.

Easton police say a West Ward drug raid Friday morning was the culmination of months of investigation into a man selling heroin in the neighborhood.

Bryan Velasquez, 21, of the 100 block of North Oak Street, is being charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and an illegal gun charge.

According to police, the city's vice/narcotics unit and special response unit served a search warrant on Velasquez's home Friday around 6 a.m.
Police say they found heroin, cash and a gun inside the home.

The gun, a .380 handgun, had been reported stolen in Philadelphia, police said.

Velasquez was arraigned Friday before senior District Judge James Stoklas, and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $35,000 bail.
