How to Help Family of Teen Killed by Train
Friends plan fundraising events to pay funeral expenses to help family of Wilson's Bradley Roth.

"RIP sweet angel. My prayers to your family."
"I didn't really know you, although everything about you was familiar. I still can't put my finger on it, but from everything I've heard and all of the wall posts I've seen, you seemed like an amazing person/friend."
These are words posted on a Facebook page set up in memory of Bradley Roth, a young Wilson resident killed by a train just outside the borough of Glendon earlier this month.

But among these words, you'll also find calls to action, as friends of Roth rally to raise money for his family to pay for his funeral expenses.
They're making bracelets and designing T-shirts, and ordering sky lanterns for a ceremony planned for April.

And on Saturday, they'll hold a 5K walk from the Roth home in Wilson to the West Easton Fire Company, said Nicole Lewert, a family friend.
Roth, 19, died after being hit by a train Feb. 17. His death has been ruled a suicide.
"It’s something he was battling for a while," Lewert said, adding that organizers would like to get suicide prevention groups involved with the fundraisers.
At the same time, people are remembering Roth for his life: an active, friendly kid who loved skateboarding and motorcross racing.
Saturday's walk will begin at 1 p.m. at the Roth home at 2201 Forest St. in Wilson. At the fire company, Lewert said, there will be T-shirts, lanterns, bracelets and baked good for sale. She also runs a Scentsy store and is donating 20 percent of what she sells there to the Roths.
There will also be an all-day fundraiser April 20 at the Riverside Bar and Grill just outside of Easton, Lewert said. That's when friends will release the floating lanterns in Roth's memory.
In addition to these efforts, there's also an online effort on the FundRazr website. As of Thursday afternoon, it was at 73 percent of its $1,000 goal.
