Man Rammed Girlfriend's Car, Police Say

A New Jersey man was jailed Wednesday after he allegedly rammed his car into his girlfriend's vehicle in downtown Easton.

Steven Doran, 26, of Alpha, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment, criminal mischief and driving while under the influence.

According to court records, an Easton police officer was on patrol in Center Square early Tuesday when he heard a series of loud crashes. He saw two cars heading east on Northampton Street across the river, where Doran was taken into custody by Phillipsburg police.

Doran's girlfriend told police he purposely rammed her car five times. Doran was back in Easton Wednesday, where he was arraigned and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
