Man Stole DVD Player, Police Say

Maurice Cook charged with retail theft for allegedly swiping portable player in Wilson.

It was labeled a portable DVD player, but Wilson police say an Easton man took that definition too far Wednesday afternoon at the borough Kmart.

Police say Maurice Cook, 28, of North 13th Street, walked out of the store with the $90 DVD player around 4:50 p.m.

Security spotted him, and an officer detained Cook and found the player, according to court records.
