Movies in the Park Returns Next Week

Feel like taking the kids to a movie without cleaning out your banking account?

Easton's Movies in the Park series returns next week, offering a chance to see a free movie under the stars. 

The series begins Tuesday, July 9 with the animated fantasy Rise of the Guardians, at 8:30 p.m. outside the Easton Boys & Girls Club at 210 Jones Houston Way. You'll need to bring your own chairs and blankets.

Other movies include:

• Mamma Mia! — Saturday, July 13 at 9 p.m. at Scott Park. (This show follows a 7 p.m. performance by the Easton Municipal Band)
• The Lorax — Tuesday, July 16 at 8:30 p.m. at Nevin Park, Lafayette Street and Taylor Avenue on College Hill.
• Monsters Inc.— Tuesday, July 23 at 8:30 p.m. at the Easton Area Community Center, 901 Washington St.
• Despicable Me — Thursday, August 8 at 8:30 p.m., Boys & Girls Club
• Madagascar 3 — Thursday, August 15 at 8:30 p.m., Nevin Park
• Skyfall — Saturday, August 17 at 9 p.m., Scott Park.  (This show follows a 7 p.m. performance by the Easton Municipal Band.)
• The Pirates! Band of Misfits—Thursday, August 22 at 8:30 p.m., Easton Area Community Center.
