National Night Out, Movies in the Park Ahead This Week

Happy 30th birthday, National Night Out.

The community anti-crime program will mark its third decade on Tuesday night. In Easton, that will mean block parties and other events around the city throughout the evening. 

Also this week:

• Easton's Planning Commission will meet Wednesday 6:30 p.m. On the agenda: a plan for the old Stewart Silk Mill on the South Side.
• Movies in the Park brings Despicable Me to the Boys & Girls Club, Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
• Should Easton allow backyard chickens? Weigh in on the debate Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Nurture Nature Center.
• Learn more about the Riverside Festival of the Arts when you stop by the Easton Farmers' Market Wednesday. Visit the Arts Community of Easton tent from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
