Sample Brazilian Cuisine Wednesday in Easton

Easton's newest restaurant Batuque will host a grand opening Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Although they've been serving food for several weeks now, the folks behind Easton's new Brazilian steakhouse will officially cut the ribbon on their new restaurant Wednesday afternoon.

Batuque, at 154 Northampton St., has scheduled its grand opening for 5:30 p.m. The event will feature Mayor Sal Panto and state Rep. Bob Freeman, and will give visitors a chance to sample the menu.

Batuque is a Churrascaria, which essentially means that diners get served skewers of an all-you-can-eat supply of meat at their table.
